Artist Statement
As a multidisciplinary artist, the interaction of light, colors, shapes and textures that I experience when in nature through the seasons inspires me. I forage plant matter and inorganic materials to create paper pulp, pigment, embedments, casting or inclusion layers within my artist-made papers, mixed-media wall pieces and sculptures. These works embody a memory connection to a seasonal time and place in the landscape.

Biography
GG Stankiewicz is a multidisciplinary artist, whose work explores nature and memory through various media, including papermaking, printmaking, painting, and sculpture. Raised in Rhode Island, she earned a BFA and BAE from The Museum School of Fine Arts at Tufts University and an MFA from the Rhode Island School of Design. She is a 2023 and 2024 awardee of the Roxbury Arts Group Regrant via the New York State Council on the Arts Regrant Program. GG's work has been exhibited nationally and internationally, and is held in private collections. She lives and works in Delaware County, New York.
